About Nom
Nom helps you find the healthiest options at fast food restaurants. We analyze the full menu at each chain, grade every item with our Nom Score, and turn it into clear, practical guides for real diets — high-protein, low-sodium, keto, diabetic-friendly, vegetarian, weight-loss, and more.
Why we built Nom
Eating out shouldn’t mean flying blind. Restaurant nutrition data exists, but it’s buried in PDFs and hard to compare across menus. Nom does the work for you: we collect official nutrition information, score it consistently, and surface the best choices for whatever you’re trying to eat.
How we source data
Our nutrition figures come from each restaurant’s official, published nutrition information. We track calories, protein, carbohydrates, sugar, fiber, sodium, total fat, and saturated fat for every item we can verify, and we re-check data as restaurants update their menus. Where a value isn’t published, we leave it out rather than guess.
How we rate food
Every item gets a Nom Score (an A–F grade) from a single, transparent algorithm that measures nutrition quality per calorie. The same rules apply to every item at every restaurant, so a grade means the same thing everywhere. Read the full method on our How the Nom Score works page.
Editorial independence
Nom is an independent guide. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any restaurant we cover. Advertising and affiliate relationships never affect our scores or rankings — those are determined entirely by nutrition data.
Who makes Nom
Nom is an independent guide operated by Reindex Ventures LLC, a small team focused on practical nutrition tools. Have feedback, a correction, or a restaurant you’d like us to add? Email contact@reindexventures.com — we read everything.
